Most 10-year-olds spend their time playing video games or hanging out with friends, but sixth grader Bishop Curry spends his time creating an invention that will save lives.

After Curry's 6-month-old neighbor died in a hot car, he wanted to come up with a device that would prevent hot car deaths, so he thought of his product, The Oasis.

Rising temperatures activate The Oasis, which pushes out cool air and signals parents and authorities. For now, The Oasis is just a 3D clay model, but after a successful GoFundMe campaign that raised more than the goal of $20,000, Bishop plans to create a prototype, manufacture the device and get a patent.

But he doesn't plan to stop with his Oasis - when he grows up he wants to invent a time machine.
