Protests Clash With Police In Hamburg Ahead Of G-20 Summit

July 6, 2017

Protests are breaking out in the streets of Hamburg, Germany ahead of the G-20 summit. Anti-capitalist militants have started carrying out what they call "welcome to hell" demonstrations.

Police were bombarded with bricks, bottles and other objects and moved in to arrest protesters.  Riot police are using smoke bombs and water cannons to disperse protesters.

President Trump and the rest of the world leaders in Germany for the G-20 economic summit are far away from protests. The two-day G-20 summit formally opens on Friday.
