Prodigy's Tribute Mural Defaced Twice After Completion

The death of Prodigy of Mobb Deep shocked the hip hop world and in tribute a massive mural of the late rapper by street artists Jeff Henriquez and Eli “Eli Eos” Lazare was painted across the street from P's native Queensbridge. The mural was defaced by vandals over the weekend and was quickly repaired by the artists only to be destroyed again.
The giant mural, located at 13th Street and 40th Avenue in New York City, had white paint splattered over the hip hop pioneer's face just 24 hours after it was unveiled. Artist Jeff Henriquez repaired the mural but posted on Instagram that, "Sadly I expect my wall to get hit again."
The mural was then hit with red paint right after it was fixed. Check out photos below.

Prodigy was only 42 when he died after complications with sickle cell anemia.
