WAR FOR THE PLANET OF THE APES, Rated PG-13

Marco's Take

As soon as we got home from seeing this, I bought the last two movies on iTunes because of how much I liked this one. I don't always like Woody Harrelson but he was a pretty good bad guy but the most human and real emotions came from the apes!

Christian's Take

War For the Planet of the Apes does a great job adding even more layers of humanity to its characters. It's beautifully shot and every scene looks great. The film moves at a slow pace, and gets old at times. Because of the slow pace, the finale feels anticlimactic. War For the Planet of the Apes is a solid film, but it feels a little too slow.

WISH UPON, Rated PG-13

Marco's Take

I went in hoping that it was going to at least be fun, but pretty confident that it was going to be terrible... Trust your gut here... it's one of the worst movies I've ever seen and I watch a lot of bad movies!

Christian's Take

There isn't a whole of good to say about Wish Upon, other than some sneaky camera work that in no way makes up for the trainwreck that is this film. The cheese-filled horror film has the audience laughing at it throughout... and there's plenty to laugh it. The acting is bad, the CGI effects are the worst I've seen in a while, and the whole story can predicated a mile away. It's a wonder that Wish Upon got a theatrical release.
