Sad news surfaced earlier today (July 20). TMZ reported that Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington committed suicide by hanging himself.
"Law enforcement sources tell TMZ the singer hanged himself at a private residence in Palos Verdes Estates in L.A. County. His body was discovered Thursday just before 9 AM," the news outlet claims. "Chester was married with 6 children from 2 wives."
Many people may or may not know this, but Chester Bennington had a love and appreciation for hip hop. We can all remember Linkin Park's collaborative album, Collision Course, with JAY-Z.
With that being said, take a look at tweets from hip hop remembering the late singer. May he RIP.
Chester it was truly a pleasure, thank you for sharing your greatness... #RIP #LinkinPark 🙏🏿

Linkin Park are everything to me. They're the lone reason I became a producer, a hip hop and rock fan, and a concertgoer. I'm...so sad.

Linkin Park was just one of those bands that changed the way you looked at music. The hip hop/ rock collaborative
