Broncos Promote Elway To President Of Football Operations

The Denver Broncos are promoting John Elway to president of football operations.  The move came just days after the Hall of Fame quarterback signed a five year contract extension through 2021.  

Elway previously served as executive vice president of football operations and general manager.  He will retain GM duties under his new title, giving him full autonomy over the club's football decisions.  Under Elway, the Broncos have the second most wins in the league since 2011 with 73.  Denver also has five division titles, two Super Bowl appearances and one championship during his tenure.
