Family Dog Takes a Cue From 'Lassie' to Save Two Young Girls

INJOIn 1954, “Lassie” repeatedly saved the human race from various mishaps by alerting the proper authorities when danger called.

Now, 63-years-later, one real-life pup has taken a major cue from the silver screen.

The Deseret News reported that during a family vacation to the Utah wilderness, two girls aged eight and 16 decided to take an ATV and go explore on their own, accompanied by the family dog Spot.

After the girls were sufficiently satisfied with their day out, they were returning to the ATV when both girls were struck by lightning and knocked unconscious.

Spot, instead of getting spooked and running for cover, made a mad dash back to the family camp site and led relatives to where the girls had been struck.
