Anyone who has had a baby knows that there is a chance your obstetrician might not be the one who delivers your child because the doctor can't be on call all the time.
However, one OB went way above and beyond the call of duty when she delivered her patient's daughter while in labor herself!

Her name is Dr. Amanda Hess and as she prepared to give birth to her second daughter, she heard someone down the hall screaming from labor pain. It turned out to be one of her own patients and, since the on-call doctor hadn't yet arrived, Hess left her hospital room to help out.

The woman's baby was coming faster than expected and the umbilical cord was wrapped loosely around the child's neck, so Hess threw on a gown to cover her backside and got to work, delivering the child. Then, 12 hours later, she gave birth to her own baby.
Someone give her a raise!
