LOOK: Chelsea Handler's Tweet Against Racism Totally Backfires

Comedian and former host of the E channel’s Chelsea Lately, Chelsea Handler, took to Twitter this weekend to share some views on racism and the nation's way of handling those that mock cultures and ethnicities different than their own.
Handler tweeted about two Chinese tourists arrested in Berlin for making Nazi salutes. She then suggested wistfully that it would be “nice 2 have laws here for people who think racism is funny.”
2 Chinese guys were arrested in Berlin for making nazi salutes. Wouldn't it be nice 2 have laws here for people who think racism is funny?

The extreme irony here, though, is that the criminalize racism tweet suggests targeting against sharp elbowed comedians like herself.
That irony was pointed out by American Enterprise Institute’s Christina Hoff Sommers:
Pease re-consider. Would you want to see Mel Brooks arrested?

So, really, we're left wondering whether Handler is suggesting thought policing be added to our nation's laundry list of laws, or if she was just trying to be noble by denouncing racism. After all, I don't condemn her for speaking out, but Twitter pointed out that this might be a case of the pot calling the kettle black.
The Twittersphere went into a frenzy:
Yes, Miss politically incorrect is advocating for wrong-speak/think/act/feel police.

Spectacularly terrifying.
Silver-lining, she's first 😉
Dumbest tweet on Twitter today. Congratulations.

So what your saying is that maddona should be in jail for threatening the WH and that other lady for holding the head of the potus?

Or do you mean celebrities can say and do what ever the hell they want and the rules are only for the rest of us?

So racist jokes are only funny when you make them? Everyone else should be arrested. pic.twitter.com/7nxLS5h1wV

Simmer down, Handler. And maybe we should leave the racism patrolling to some of the higher ups.
