Fifth Harmony Let Out Their Inner Bad Girls On New Song 'Angel'

By James Dinh

August 10, 2017

Two weeks before the release of their self-titled LP, Fifth Harmony has released several bits of information about the forthcoming set as well as a new cut called "Angel," which hears the girl group trading in their sing-a-long pop sounds for something that skews more on the urban side.

Produced by Skrillex and Poo Bear, "Angel" sounds as down and dirty as the lyrics to the mid-tempo cut appear to be. On the brooding track, Lauren Jauregui, Ally Brooke, Dinah Jane and Normani Kordei recall a not so serious relationship where they involved themselves in a romance that just wasn't good for them. "Should’ve never cross that line with ya/ Everything cool, just drinkin' with ya/ Way too young to be up in handcuffs/ Been tryna spend my life on the phone with ya," Lauren sings during the pre-hook.

"Angel" arrives as an instant-grat track when you pre-order Fifth Harmony, which is set to drop August 25 via RCA Records. It's one of eight new songs (sans lead single "Down") that will be featured on their short, but sweet new LP. Among the other song titles include "He Like That," "Sauced Up," "Make You Mad" and more. See the full track list below!

Expect 5H to culminate the release of the album when they hit the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday (August 27) at 8 PM ET.
