State Dept: U.S. Willing To Talk With North Korea

By John Belaska

The U.S. is willing to talk with North Korea, if the North shows signs of moving toward "serious de-nuclearization."  That's the message that State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert took to a briefing yesterday.

She said diplomacy is the answer to the increasingly tense situation with North Korea.  Nauert's remarks echoed earlier comments from Secretary of State Rex Tillerson.  He noted that the U.S. is still "interested in finding a way to get to dialogue" with North Korea.  Tillerson said that is up to North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
