Blake Lively Used to Send Leo DiCaprio Dolls

Blake Lively was ahead of the game, Gossip Girl producers told Vanity Fair in a new interview in honor of the cult CW show’s 10-year anniversary. 

According to executive producer Joshua Safran, Lively used to send then-boyfriend Leonardo DiCaprio Flat Stanley’s to stay in touch prior to the creation of Snapchat etc. 

“We learned a lot from Blake. When I think about shooting the L.A. episodes, Blake was dating [DiCaprio] at the time, and she had this thing where she had a doll that she took photos of that she sent to Leo,” Safran revealed. “Blake was way ahead of the curve. It was pre-Instagram. She was documenting her life in photographs in a way that people were not yet doing.”

While we have no idea what the doll actually looked like or what she’d put on the doll, we love the throwback.
