Eva Longoria is not pregnant after undergoing IVF treatment, despite a false tabloid report claiming the actress and her husband Jose Baston are expecting their first child. Gossip Cop looked into the claim, and we’ve exclusively learned the truth.
An article in the latest issue of Star claims the 42-year-old actress is gearing up to become a first-time mother after successfully conceiving through a medical procedure. A supposed “source” tells the magazine, “Eva and Jose have been trying to get pregnant ever since they got married. They didn’t want to put too much pressure on themselves, they just trusted that it would happen in its own time.”
The outlet’s dubious insider goes on to say Longoria has been practicing her parenting skills by playing stepmom to her husband’s three kids from a previous marriage, but maintains that she won’t announce her supposed pregnancy anytime soon. “She wouldn’t tell anyone until she’s further along,” says the questionable source. “She may even toy with people before posting something on social media.”
However, Gossip Cop checked in with a rep for Longoria, who exclusively assures us she’s simply “not pregnant.” Of course, this isn’t the first time Star has tried to impregnate the actress, so we’re not surprised by this latest attempt. Gossip Cop just busted the tabloid in April after it wrongly reported Longoria was expecting a baby. The magazine claimed she was sporting a “baby bump” while on vacation with her husband in Hawaii, but the actress herself dismissed the speculation. “I’m not pregnant, just eating a lot of cheese, a lot of wine, a lot of pancakes. Everyone gets bloated,” she wrote on Instagram.
But it’s not just imaginary pregnancies we’ve had to debunk. Last year, Gossip Cop called out Star’s sister publication, OK!, after it falsely claimed Longoria was adopting a baby. The untrustworthy outlet said the actress “can’t see herself carry a baby,” but was eager to adopt one instead. Of course, there was no truth to that report, and this latest one is equally inaccurate.
