Customers Sue Restaurants After Being Served Bacon

Two lawsuits on behalf of Jewish and Muslim customers allege they were served bacon in their food at two Detroit-area restaurants.  Not eating pork is a matter of faith for many people.  The restaurants in question, Denny's and KFC, say the serving of pork products was not intentional.  According to the suit, the manager at Denny's said the bacon in a veggie omelet was an accident because the bacon is stored next to the vegetables.  KFC said the bacon added to a chicken sandwich was the result of a miscommunication.

Both lawsuits are asking for monetary compensation for emotional and physical distress.
