Cop Who Arrested Nurse Fired From Paramedic Job

The Salt Lake City police detective who arrested a nurse for simply doing her job has been fired from his other job. 

Mike Moffitt, president of Gold Cross Ambulance, says Jeff Payne has been fired from his part-time paramedic job because his actions "violated several company policies and left a poor image of the company," the Salt Lake Tribune reports. 

In video of the July 26 incident at the University of Utah Hospital, Payne wonders how the dispute with nurse Alex Wubbels might affect his position at Gold Cross. He also threatens to use his paramedic job to take revenge on the hospital. "I'll bring them all the transients and take good patients elsewhere," Payne says to another officer.
