Here's What Happened When John Mayer Tried To Shoot His Shot At Nicki Minaj

Believe it or not, John Mayer attempted to shoot his shot at Nicki Minaj via Twitter at the top of the weekend, and the response the singer/songwriter received from the Young Money MC was everything we could have ever asked for and more.

On Friday (September 9), Mayer sent the flirty message into the timelines of his 1.14 million followers, writing, "I spend an inordinate amount of time per day wondering if Nicki Minaj would like me or not." 

Even though he didn't send the message directly to the rapper, his words made their way to the Harajuku Barbie and her response was too much for him. "Would my body be your wonderland?" she asked, to which he responded, "Please hold, losing my sh*t. This isn't my reply yet." See the exchange below!

It's not the first time that Mayer used social media for rather, erm, random remarks. Back in April, he hopped on Instagram Live and took to his piano to explain just why Fifth Harmony needs Camila Cabello in their lineup. In a viral clip, the music heartthrob literally demonstrates to viewers what four notes sound like compared to five notes, stressing that the latter is superior.

"I like Fifth Harmony. But then, Camila left the band, and now it's just this," he said, playing four notes on the piano. "If you really wanted to add me, you'd get this and that's one too many notes. Point being: Hi, Camila."
