Pro-Consent Message On Condoms Completely Backfires

A condom company is facing backlash and criticism for a recent pro-consent campaign on college campuses that totally missed the mark. A post on the Crappy Design sub-Reddit shows the condom wrapper which appears to say "Go Further Without Consent." At least that's what most people saw when they looked it. What they were missing was the doughnut emoji, which changes the message to say "Doughnut(Do Not) Go Further Without Consent".

One redditer figured it out, but not before taking a minute to think about it:

It took me a minute to actually get that the donut was supposed to be part of the sentence, but even after the pun clicked, I just have so many more questions about the brainstorming process behind this. How did they arrive at this final product? It's so, so terrible that it's utterly fascinating.

According to the New York Post, the condoms are from Say It With A Condom, a company that sells customized condoms. The condoms were sold out as of Monday, and had been removed from the site by Wednesday, hopefully for a redesign that doesn't require emoji analysis to understand.
