Selena Gomez Was Rushed to Hospital Prior to Kidney Transplant

Harvey Levin phoned in to On Air With Ryan Seacrest on Friday, September 15, and confirmed that Selena Gomez was in dire need of a new kidney prior to getting a transplant from her best friend and donor Francia Raisa.

“This has been a desperate situation for her,” TMZ’s Harvey shared. “In the spring, in May, she was in Chicago and she was hospitalized when she went to The Weeknd’s concert and he ended up at her bedside when she was having kidney failure.”

As previously reported, Selena needed the kidney transplant due to lupus.

“This wasn’t a precautionary thing,” Harvey added. “She was really in desperate straits and on a kidney transplant list.”
