Unfortunately, stories that begin as terrifying as this one don’t usually have such a happy ending.
A farmer was on his way to work when realized he’d forgotten something and headed back home to retrieve it. But when he turned back around, he saw what he initially thought was a deer. Seconds later, he realized it was a frantic teenage girl emerging from the tall grass on his property, running straight toward his car.
The farmer knew something was horribly wrong… and that’s when the shocking pieces came together.
On August 8, 2017, 15-year-old Jasmine Block disappeared from her home in Alexandria, Minnesota. Authorities say a family acquaintance lured Jasmine away by telling her he needed help with a family situation. After kidnapping her, the suspect and two male accomplices repeatedly assaulted her and held her against her will inside an abandoned home — for 28 days. Unbelievable.
But on her 29th day in captivity, the three men left Jasmine alone for the first time; she knew this was her chance to make an escape.
Watch the video below to find out what happened when Jasmine finally ran to seek help. It’s nothing short of incredible.
