The 69th Emmys went down on Sunday (Sept. 17) night. The event consisted of host Stephen Colbert's fun opening number with Chance The Rapper, multiple stars making history with their big wins, and more.

During one portion of the awards ceremony, Viola Davis and Christopher Jackson introduced the tribute for the entertainment industry stars that we lost in the past year. Some of the late figures included Alan Thicke, Mary Tyler Moore, Florence Henderson and more. Unfortunately, late actors/comedians Charlie Murphy and Dick Gregory weren't included.

Fans of the two who were watching the Emmys were waiting for their photos and names to appear on their screens. But, they never did. When the tribute was over, people took to Twitter to remember Murphy and Gregory, since the Emmys didn't.
