Anchorage Symphony’s Opening Night

The season opens with a rollicking potpourri of student drinking songs! Brahms’ Academic Festival Overture was a thank you “note” to the University of Breslau for presenting him with an honorary doctorate. Sean Chen, the charismatic winner of the 2013 American Pianists Awards and Van Cliburn Medalist, performs Beethoven’s bold Piano Concerto No. 5 (“Emperor”).
