Report: NFL Players Pushing For Month Dedicated To Activism

By Hector Gonzales

September 21, 2017

NFL players are continuing to make their voices heard on social issues.  Yahoo! Sports reports the Seahawks' Michael Bennett, the Eagles' Malcolm Jenkins and Torrey Smith and the recently retired Anquan Boldin wrote a letter to the NFL hoping to establish a month dedicated to social activism.  It would be similar to what the league does with breast cancer awareness.  The month the group asked to set for the idea is November.  Roger Goodell has spoken directly with players who have protested on game day.

Neither the NFL nor the players would comment for the story.
