In 1977, Jane Alexander and her husband Gus won the right to bid for a couple of run-down cottages in Whitechapel, an East End district in London, England.
Since the properties were deemed too expensive to repair, the city gave the locals a chance to enter a prize draw. When their names were called, the couple was offered each home for the incredible price of £150.
Nearly 44-years and a massive makeover later, they're selling it for over $1 million USD!
