As a proud Boricua, Jennifer López has joined the relief efforts to help the devastated island after the powerful Hurricane that left Puerto Rico in serious distress.
Total loss of electricity throughout the island, dangerous flooding, damaged roads that prevent the access of aide, and millions of people without a home or supplies, are some of the imminent issues that Hurricane Maria left behind.
Today on a press conference held in New York, J. Lo announced that she will be donating $1 million dollars from the profits of her Las Vegas residency “All I Have” to help rebuild her beloved Puerto Rico.
Joined by Governor Cuomo, Lopez shared the overwhelming help and support she has received from the entertainment and sports industry, and to all the people that Alex Rodriguez and she have reached to be part of these efforts.
Jennifer reminded everyone that Puerto Ricans are American citizens that today more than ever need the help from everyone. She mentioned how she is one of the people who are still waiting to hear from family members because of the difficulties to communicate with those in the island.
Jennifer and Alex Rodriguez will be part of the Live Telethon organized by Telemundo named ‘Todos Unidos’ which will benefit Mexico and Puerto Rico. The live broadcast will start tonight at 7pm E.T and can be watched via Telemundo and Telemundo.com
As a proud partner, iHeartMedia joins these efforts and will be simulcasting the live event on the Spanish stations and the digital station Rumba on our iHeartRadio app. You can follow the even on our iHeartLatino Instagram and Facebook page.
