Many NFL teams and players are receiving blowback after the firestorm created during the mass national anthem protest in the league this Sunday.
Hundreds of NFL players — and sometimes entire teams — sat out the national anthem to protest President Donald Trump's comments on the issue. Friday night, Trump said players should be “fired” if they knelt during the anthem.
Trump had much to say about the protests, but it's the fans of the NFL who have taken their anger to another level. Dozens of videos surfaced on social media of NFL fans torching their teams' paraphernalia and jerseys out of protest for the way the players acted during the national anthem.
