A Hocus Pocus remake is in the works. A Disney Channel rep confirmed to Entertainment Tonight that a “new iteration" of the 1993 Halloween classic is to come.
Scarlett Lacey (The Royals) and David Kirschner (The Addams Family), who served as a producer on the original film, are set to executive produce the remake.
But, no, SJP will not be back to reprise her role.
According to Deadline, which was first to report the news, a new cast will be reprising the roles of witch sisters Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy and Sarah Jessica Parker.

why remake hocus pocus - a perfectly good movie - when you could make a sequel? pic.twitter.com/WNVw6AZcFb

Please don't do a remake of Hocus Pocus. Remakes of classics don't go well.
Lots of love,
