Macklemore stopped by On Air With Ryan Seacrest on Friday, September 29, and dished about his latest album Gemini. The rapper, whose real name is Ben Haggerty, built a studio in the basement of his home so he wouldn’t miss out on family time while recording.

“I didn’t want to be away from Sloane and my wife and it was the perfect balance to go downstairs, be in the rap world, and come upstairs and be in the dad world,” Macklemore shared, adding that he’d bring his 2-year-old daughter, Sloane, downstairs and play her songs.

“She’d either bob her head,” Macklemore added, “Or she’d be like, ‘Nope. Nope. Nope.'"

One track off the album, "Glorious," features Skylar Grey and for the music video, Macklemore celebrated his adorable grandma’s 100th birthday — complete with a stripper.

“She’s 100-years-wise,” he shared. “The stripper scene was extremely awkward. I couldn’t really watch … I kept poking my head out … we told them, like, this has to be PG … and this guy just went full Ginuwine.”
