Teacher Uses Drugstore Makeup To Turn Face Into Epic Optical Illusions

I would say I’m pretty good at doing my makeup.

I watch my fair share of makeup tutorials on YouTube, and I can confidently make my way around an eye-shadow palette.

But still, I would never call myself an expert at makeup — and artists like Mimi Choi are exactly why.

According to Allure, Mimi is a 31-year-0ld makeup artist from Vancouver, and her incredible work has been taking Instagram by storm.

I’ve seen some pretty incredible makeup transformations, but I have to say, I’ve never seen anything like Mimi’s work before.

From transforming her fiancé into a dog to adding eyes to her face, Mimi creates works of art that are so impressive, they could easily live in a museum. But the truth is even more impressive: They exist only for a little while on someone’s face.

When it comes down to it, Mimi is entirely changing her body with makeup. It truly is remarkable.

Keep scrolling to see some of Mimi’s incredible work.

When she’s not creating mind-bending works of art on her face, Mimi Choi looks like your typical 31-year-old. But give her a paintbrush and some makeup, and things change fast.

Mimi told Allure that she takes inspiration from the things around her, from food to art.

Mimi, who used to be a teacher, says her main goal “is to beat myself from yesterday because I’m the biggest critic and competition to myself.”
