In the late 1990s and early 2000s, Amanda Bynes rose as a child star on the Nickelodeon series All That and The Amanda Show.

From 2002 to 2006, she also stared on the sitcom What I Like About You on WB. She was also in several movies, including What a Girl Wants (2003), She's the Man (2006), Hairspray(2007), Sydney White (2007) and Easy A (2010).

Bynes battled drug issues and was hospitalized under a psychiatric hold in 2014 after a DUI arrest in 2013. She also was charged with two hit and run cases, which caused her to retreat from the spotlight. She is now said to have been sober for the last 3 years now.

After claiming she had retired from acting, she now has said that she is ready to return to Hollywood and put her bad habits behind her.

"I want to do TV," she said in an interview with Hollyscoop earlier this year. "Maybe a few guest spots on some shows that I'm a fan of and maybe another TV show where I'm the star of it."

This interview was her first in four years and only has communicated with fans using her Twitter account.

One of her most famous tweets included a 2013 message where she wrote, "I want @drake to murder my vagina."

Her response to the controversy was, "I actually wasn’t being insincere. I was like saying murder my vagina. I was serious, but I was also on drugs, so that was my way of saying like, "Let’s do it man." But I was on drugs and trying to be hilarious."

Over the past few years, she has shifted her focus from acting to fashion, rarely making public appearances.

For the first time in 3 months she was spotted out in public and people were surprised at her new look.
