Stephen Paddock, 64, Identified as Suspected Las Vegas Gunman

The man suspected of killing over 50 people and injuring 400 when he opened fire on concertgoers Sunday night in Las Vegas has been identified as Stephen Paddock.
According to NBC News, Paddock, 64, is from Mesquite, Nevada, which is located about 80 miles northeast of Las Vegas. The shooting is not believed to be connected to international terrorism, NBC News reports.

Paddock was a licensed pilot who lived in a retirement community in Mesquite. He also had a hunting license from Alaska. He lived with a 62-year-old woman named Marilou Danley.
His body was discovered by police in a room on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Resort. The shooting is the deadliest mass shooting in the U.S. to date.
