Bartender Reunites At Hospital With Lady He Didn't Leave After She Was Shot

In the days since the tragic shooting in Las Vegas on October 1, 2017, so many amazing stories have surfaced of heroes who saved countless lives.

One of the latest uplifting stories is about a Canadian woman named Jan Lambourne. She was attending the concert when the shooting began — and a bullet hit her stomach.

But it was the bravery of a bartender, Justin Uhart, that saved her life. After staying behind while everyone ran, Justin spotted Jan and ran over to her.

“It was just an instinct. I don’t know,” Justin said. “I put my hand on the wound, and then I start screaming, ‘Medic! Medic!’”

With the help of other strangers, Justin carried the wounded woman to a field where other injured people were getting medical attention.

“She was terrified. I was just asking her the silliest questions of her cats,” the bartender recalled. “She was in a lot of pain, and I said I won’t leave her, and she had a death grip.”

Justin held onto his promise.

“He had stayed — right from when he found me, right til I went into the operating room,” Jan said.

Three days after Jan was shot, Justin visited her in the hospital. It was the first time the pair had seen each other since the shooting, so it was quite emotional for both of them.
