Vice President Mike Pence is not putting up with any sideline protests during the national anthem, even if it involves his home state Indianapolis Colts. A Pence aide said the former Indiana governor walked out of today's Colts-San Francisco 49ers game in Indianapolis after several 49ers knelt on the sideline during the "Star Spangled Banner." The Colts players stood during the anthem.
Pence later tweeted the reason for his leaving was to "not dignify any event that disrespects our soldiers, our Flag, or our National Anthem."
I stand with @POTUS Trump, I stand with our soldiers, and I will always stand for our Flag and our National Anthem. pic.twitter.com/B0zP5M41MQ
