Six-Year-Old's Tragic Death Breathes Life Into Four Others

In 2014, Irish parents Stephen and Josephine O'Donovan had to live through every parent's worst nightmare. Their six-year-old son Luke was killed in a hit-and-run accident. As a parent myself I don't know if I would be able to find any silver linings to that situation, but Stephen and Josephine have.

When Luke was killed, his parents sat down and decided to donate his organs so that even though their son was gone, others could have a chance to live through the gift of life.

"We always taught Luke that caring is sharing or sharing is caring. I suppose this was the ultimate example of that," Mr O'Donovan said.
