BuzzFeed Is No Longer 'Too Lit,' Legally Speaking

Mashable reports BuzzFeed has removed the slogan for its show, AM to DM, from all graphics after the Times' lawyers got in touch. For more than 120 years, the Times has boasted the slogan "All the News That's Fit to Print." The venerable newspaper apparently thought the AM to DM slogan "All the News Too Lit for Print" was a little too close.
“We can confirm that the Times did reach out about AM to DM’s slogan," a BuzzFeed spokesperson says. "We’re glad they are following along with our new show, like the rest of our robust audience over the last few weeks." While the Times took the step of lawyering up, the reaction to the AM to DM slogan wasn't much kinder elsewhere. "When my family asks what finally killed me, tell them it was the phrase, 'All the news too lit for print,'" one Twitter user quipped.
