Apple Watch Saves Man's Life

People buy the Apple Watch for a bunch of different reasons - to stay up to date on things, to track their fitness, for Apple Pay, and of course, to see what time it is, but no one gets the accessory to save their life... however that's just what the watch did for one guy.
The HeartWatch app on James T. Green's watch notified him that his heart rate had increased. Since he wasn't doing anything active, James called his doctor just to be safe.
Never thought a stupid lil wrist computer I bought 2 years ago would save my life. Saw my ❤️ rate go up, ended up being a pulmonary embolism pic.twitter.com/r97uRcX0En

It turned out he had a pulmonary embolism - a blood clot that travels to the lungs and if big enough, can kill.
He tweeted the news, jokingly calling his hero watch a "stupid lil wrist computer." James has since been discharged and while he will be on blood thinners for the rest of his life, he is very grateful for the watch.
shout out to @HeartWatchApp, y’all made a helluva thing
