Former GM of Smart Motors indicted

The former GM of Smart Motors in Madison is accused of embezzling around three-million-dollars from the Toyota dealership. 

Federal prosecutors announced Monday that Allen Foster of Sun Prairie has been indicted with 12-counts of wire fraud and eight counts of money laundering.  Authorities say he created bank accounts for a shell company that he used to deposit money taken from the dealership over a 12 year period.  

Foster was also sued by his former employer over allegations that he stole cash bonuses intended for sales representatives.
