Ed Sheeran will miss at least the first seven shows on his scheduled Asian tour after a bike accident left both of his arms casted or bandaged. The "Shape of You" singer posted a photo to Instagram on Tuesday night (October 17) of one of his arms in a black cast and the other in a sling as a result of the seemingly gnarly wreck.

"A visit to my doctors confirmed fractures in my right wrist and left elbow that will leave me unable to perform live concerts for the immediate future," the post's caption read. "Sadly, this means that the following shows will not be able to go ahead as planned: Taipei, Osaka, Seoul, Tokyo and Hong Kong. I’m waiting to see how the healing progresses before we have to decide on shows beyond that. Please stay tuned for more details. PS - Ed isn’t typing this as he has both arms casted/bandaged."

Just a few hours later, John Mayer tweeted out his well wishes to Sheeran, saying, "Heal up quick, @edsheeran. Just remember, you're Superman even without the cape."

Singer-songwriter Lauv, who was set to be the opener for Sheeran's Asian leg, also tweeted his sentiments: "wishing the legend ed sheeran a speedy recovery after his accident. sadly, the following shows on tour will not be able to happen as planned: taipei, osaka, seoul, tokyo and hong kong. beyond that, we'll wait to see how his healing progresses."

"i will still be playing my free mall show in manila and i will do everything i can to find my way to the rest of you soon."
