Circleville Council had no legislation Tuesday evening, but the annual festival was gearing up outside.
Councilman Barry Keller continues to be the vice president of the 111th Circleville Pumpkin Show...and is its cheerleader. He encourages everyone to see its seven parades and to support the nonprofit booths...among many other attractions.
Something new, unveiled today, is the plan - and fundraising - for a new "pocket park" on North Court Street at the Mason Furniture Store site.
Keller says it is owned by the Pumpkin Show, but will be available to the public the 51 other weeks of the year.
It will have a water feature, seating for almost 100 people, a small stage, a larger hydraulic stage...and the original circular plan of Circleville in the paved area.
Council also discussed the Everts School wing again...and may finally be moving towards taking action on it.
