Marilyn Manson has fired longtime band member and bassist Twiggy Ramirez amid rape accusations. Jessicka Addams of Jack Off Jill accused Ramirez (born Jeordie White) of violently raping her while they had a romantic relationship in the 90's. Manson released a statement saying he was “saddened by Jessicka’s obvious distress” and "knew nothing about these allegations until very recently.”
Manson announced that Ramirez was out of the band, tweeting, "I have decided to part ways with Jeordie White as a member of Marilyn Manson. He will be replaced for the upcoming tour. I wish him well." Ramirez, who has played with Nine Inch Nails and A Perfect Circle, left Manson's band in 2002 but returned in 2008.
