Nicki Minaj has once again tackled sexism in the music industry and society, as a whole. On Twitter, the rapper spoke straight facts about how she's perceived in rap, as compared to her male counterparts.
On Wednesday (Oct. 25), Minaj went on her Twitter account to speak about double-standards. She also mentioned rappers such as Drake, Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole. Minaj said that even though she has talent and works just as hard as any male rapper, she doesn't get the respect that she deserves.
In any field, women must work TWICE as hard to even get HALF the respect her male counterparts get. When does this stop?

Putting ppl in the same sentence as me after my 10 years of consistent winning. What are you teaching THEM? They’d never do this to a man.

Minaj also quoted an old tweet from Lamar where he said, "Just realized. Moe n**gaz hate nicki minaj than woman do." The Barb replied, "Kendrick’s tweet from 7 years ago. This is so telling. And scary. I’d have to wear some baggy pants n timbs for men to openly give props."
