Robert Plant Says He, Other Great Brit Frontmen Should Get Together

Robert Plant says a frontman is the guy in the band "who can't hide."

"Somebody who's stuck right up the sharp end."

And he says there aren't many of them left.

He made the comment during his recent interview with Charlie Rose while promoting his new album, Carry Fire

"I mean there are—of course there's lots of other people around," Plant said when Rose asked him about a previous quote in which he named himself, Rod Stewart and Mick Jagger, and the few remaining frontmen.

"Those two guys were around a little bit before me. And of course there's Roger Daltrey from The Who. You know, there's a lot of us. I don't know why we don't have some kind of annual get-together or misery."

Rose said what we're all thinking: I'd like to come to that party.

Not to be outdone, Plant laughed, "Yeah, I'd like to see who'd buy the drinks."
