For the nth time, I am NOT Trump's foreign policy adviser! I have NO association with the Trump camp! NONE!

A Novi, Michigan-based CPA found himself in Twitter's spotlight this morning after news broke that a former adviser to President Donald Trump had pleaded guilty to lying to federal agents. And all because he happened to share the same name.
George Papadopoulos (the CPA) discovered this morning that the man he shared a name with, was currently at the center of special counsel Robert Mueller's probe into ties between Russia and the Trump campaign. According to investigators, Papadopoulos (the aide to Trump) lied to Mueller's investigators about meeting with Russians who were offering 'dirt' on Trump's opponent.
Papadopoulos (the aide), pleaded guilty to charges on Oct. 5th which was unsealed by a judge on Monday. Two other former Trump campaign members, Paul Manafort and Rick Gates, were also charged by Mueller on Monday after they turned themselves in. According to court records, Papadopoulos (the aide), attempted on several occasions to connect the Trump campaign with the Russians.
News of the guilty plea quickly went viral, with many people online assuming the CPA living in Michigan was the guilty party.
Papadopoulos (the CPA), says that while life online for him has become incredibly hectic, he's trying to take his newfound fame in stride. Fortunately for Papadopoulos (the CPA), he's currently far from the U.S., visiting his mother in Greece where he's busy enjoying his mother's home cooking.
I am NOT that guy! Visiting my mother in Greece now and can assure u I am getting so fat eating the dishes she makes me...so no wiggling :) https://t.co/kHn5sQQ8jE

According to Papadopoulos, he's not the only one who might have the same problem. It's a fairly common name in Greece, but apparently not-so-common on Twitter.
I am back now from our village where there are MANY George Papadopoulos men! News hit here but the name is so common it is not a big deal :)
