Cop, Wife Arrested—for Allegedly Cheating on a Test

A police officer hoping for a new career in India's civil services was arrested Monday after allegedly cheating on an examination with the help of his wife and a whole host of gadgets, the Hindustan Times reports. 

Safeer Karim's alleged cheating was especially surprising as, per NDTV, he had started a business coaching others taking the civil service exam. 

Karim had passed the first round of the examination to join the Indian Administrative Service earlier this year, but the Times of India reports he had drawn the attention of the Intelligence Bureau, which suspected him of cheating. Karim was under surveillance when he took the second round Monday.
