Legendary Sports Announcer Lays Down the Law on NFL Protests

INJOThe NFL protests have reached a level this season we've never seen before after hundreds of players took a knee during the national anthem following President Donald Trump's aggressive comments toward those who chose to “disrespect the flag.”

As a result, ratings have plummeted, fans have boycotted, and ticket sales have dropped. The protests have made their way into other sports, and one baseball player on the Oakland Athletics even took a knee during the national anthem.

But now, one sports legend has weighed in and dropped the hammer on the NFL and its protests. Former Los Angeles Dodgers announcer and Hall of Famer Vin Scully was attending an event called “An Evening With Vin Scully” when he was asked about the NFL protests.

Scully fired back by saying:

"I have only one personal thought, really. And I am so disappointed. And I used to love, during the fall and winter, to watch the NFL on Sunday. And it's not that I'm some great patriot. I was in the Navy for a year — didn't go anywhere, didn't do anything.
