On Monday night (November 6), Brad Paisley and John Fogerty played a whopping 14 songs in front of Battleship USS Iowa in Los Angeles ahead of Veterans Day on November 11. The performances were broadcast as part of Jimmy Kimmel Live!'s concert series, and all 14 are available on Kimmel's YouTube page.
Among the set was a cover of Creedence Clearwater Revival's "Fortunate Son," Fogerty's former group. The song was released in 1969 and is pegged as one of the more famous protest songs surrounding the Vietnam War.
Before launching into Clearwater Revival's 1969 classic "Proud Mary," Paisley told the crowd, "What's gonna be fun is, right now, somewhere in the world, there are about five or six hundred bands covering this song, and we're the only one right now with [Fogerty]."
