On Monday (Nov. 6) evening, news broke that Meek Mill was sentenced to two to four years behind bars for violating his probation from a drug and gun case in 2008.

Common Pleas Court Judge Genece E. Brinkley made the decision. She's been overseeing Meek's case for years now, since the very beginning. But, the legal figure seemed to finally give up on helping the rapper. “I gave you break after break, and you basically just thumbed your nose at this court,” she told the Philly MC. Judge Brinkley declared that he'll be serving his time in state prison where Meek will be eligible for state parole supervision after serving time for two years. “Then I’ll be done with you,” she added.

Since this news surfaced, members of the hip hop community have been reacting with disgust. Fellow rappers and other celebs can't believe that after coming so far, Meek has been sentenced back behind bars for a crime that he committed so many years ago. One person who has now responded to the ruling is Meek's longtime friend and mentor Rick Ross.

On Instagram, Ross posted a photo of his Maybach Music signee with some words of encouragement to the rapper. "Tests are not for the faint at heart! Every time an obstacle crosses his path, he fights his way through and comes out triumphant," Ross started.

"I've watched him 1st hand fight this unjust system for close to a decade. But my dawg is a warrior! You know the family is already holding you down during this time of test. Here’s to the future! It will be BRIGHT! #doubleMDreamchasers."

Meek's attorney plans on appealing the ruling.
