Navy Aircraft Crashes Off Japanese Coast

A major rescue operation is underway south of Japan where a U.S. Navy aircraft has crashed in the Pacific.  The Navy says 11 crew and passengers are aboard the aircraft that went down south of Okinawa.  3 people aboard the craft are reported missing.  The plane was en route to the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan, which is conducting the search-and-rescue operation.

The cause of the crash is unknown and the names of the people on board are being withheld.
