You’d think Maroon 5 couldn’t leave the house without being swamped by fans and celeb-spotters. It turns out they can fool some people, some of the time, with a little help from the makeup department.
Looking more like an early version of Mumford & Sons than squeaky-clean pop-rock stars, the shtick seemed to work until Jimmy Fallon blew their cover. The late-night talk-show host has previously coaxed Miley Cyrus and U2 into busking incognito on the subway. Watch Maroon 5’s mini-set above.
