Deep Frying Could Aid Cloud Formation
November 26, 2017
Fatty acids sent into the air from deep fryers could aid in could formation. A new study out of the UK looked at the air over London and found 10 percent of the particulates in the air were fatty acids.
Researchers say these molecules form complex structures that last longer and travel further than normal particulates and could seed cloud creation. The clouds cool the Earth and reflect sunlight back into space. But researchers are quick to add that frying foods isn't the secret to reducing global warming.
Increasing cholesterol for the customer, however, is safe bet. The study was published last week in the journal "Nature Communications."
