Chevrolet Introduces First Convertible Corvette Supercar

November 29, 2017

Chevrolet unveiled the very first convertible version of the Corvette ZR-1 at the Los Angeles Auto Show last night.  The supercharged sports coupe was placed alongside the coupe that was first shown in Dubai earlier this month.  GM engineers say the ZR-1 has been developed from the ground up with just two modifications for the convertible.

Officials say the 755-horsepower V-8 will reach a top speed of 212-miles-per-hour through a seven-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission and comes with two "wing" options to enhance performance.

The price for the ZR-1 coupe starts at just under $120,000 while the convertible adds $4,000 to that price.
